Reverend Arlisha Latrelle Wildgoose is a native of Cairo and the oldest of four children. Arlisha is the mother of two children, Camera D. Wildgoose and Cameron J. Wildgoose. Arlisha was a 1991 honor graduate of Cairo High School where she participated in the Cairo High School Syrupmaker Band, the District Honor Band, the Senior Beta Club, and inducted into the National Honor Society. Arlisha earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Berea College in 1995. She further earned a Master of Science Degree in Human Services from Capella University in 2011 and is currently in the process of pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree.
Arlisha is the Program Director at her current employer, The Vashti Center, Inc. She has excelled in a prolific career of youth residential treatment for 18½ years. Arlisha currently serves on the Board of the Jackie Robinson Boys and Girls Club and serves on the Advisory Board of the Social Work Assistant Program at Southern Regional Technical College. Arlisha is a member of the Sigma Beta Xi Sorority, Inc. She is a member of the New Birth Inspirational Choir and the NOW Choir under the leadership of Shata Parson-Brown.
Arlisha accepted her call into the ministry in 2012. She preached her trial sermon entitled, ‘God’s Divine Purpose is Assigned: Now Walk in Your Integrity’ on July 15, 2012. Arlisha is currently ordained as an itinerant deacon of the Sixth Episcopal District of the AME Church. She is currently serving as the pastor of Bethel AME Church (Branchville community) and Cedar Springs AME Church-Whigham, GA.
Arlisha enjoys the ministry, singing, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with her children and family. She has truly enjoyed her involvement with the Date With Destiny Conference envisioning this ministry as an opportunity for spiritual growth ushered in through fellowship in praise and in worship while, more importantly, having an opportunity to empower those individuals that are eagerly yearning to increase their spiritual faith while developing a true relationship with God.
